- 2 sticks margarine, softened
- 1/2 c. Crisco shortening (not oil)
- 3 c. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. cocoa
- 3 c. plain flour
- 1 1/4 c. sweet milk
Directions

1Cream margarine, shortening and sugar.

2Add salt, baking powder and cocoa; mix until well blended.

3Add flour and milk alternately.

4Batter will be stiff.

5Break eggs in separate bowl and whip good, then add to cake batter and mix good.

6Add vanilla and beat again.

7Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours.

8Bake in tube pan that has been greased and floured.
