- 1/2 lb. butter
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. cocoa
- 1 c. milk
- 5 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 c. plain flour
Directions

1Sift dry ingredients together 3 times.

2Add other ingredients gradually.

3Beat thoroughly until well blended.

4Preheat oven to 325°.

5Pour batter into greased and flour tube pan.

6Bake 1 hour and 30 minutes at 325°.

7Cool before removing from pan.
