Chocolate Pound Cake

  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1/2 lb. sweet butter, softened
  • 1/2 c. vegetable oil
  • 6 whole eggs
  • 1/2 c. cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 c. evaporated milk
  • 2/3 c. chocolate chips

Directions

    Cream sugar, butter, oil and cocoa until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.

    Add flour and baking powder and mix until smooth.

    Add evaporated milk and vanilla.

    Mix on medium speed for 5 minutes.

    Add chocolate chips. Pour into a greased and lightly floured Bundt baking pan.

    Bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours or until done.

    Invert onto a serving plate and let cool.

    Dust with powdered sugar.
