- 2 sticks room temperature butter
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. milk
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2/3 c. cocoa
- 5 eggs
Directions

1Grease and flour large tube cake pan.

2Heat oven to 325°. Cream butter, Crisco and sugar.

3Add eggs one at a time.

4Sift together flour, baking powder, cocoa and salt.

5Add to creamed mixture with milk and vanilla.

6Mix well.

7Pour into greased and floured tube pan.

8Bake at 325° for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes or until you can insert a toothpick and it comes out clean.

9If desired, place semi-sweet chocolate morsels on top as soon as it comes out of the oven.
