  • 2 sticks margarine or butter
  • 1/3 c. Crisco
  • 5 eggs
  • 5 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 3 c. plain flour

    Cream shortening and sugar.

    Add vanilla.

    Add eggs, one at a time.

    Beat well after each.

    Sift dry ingredients.

    Add cocoa. Add flour and milk alternately.

    Cook in tube pan well greased and floured at 325°.
