  • 3 c. sugar
  • 5 eggs (large)
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 3 c. sifted plain flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 c. sweet milk

Directions

    Cream sugar, Crisco, margarine and cocoa.

    Beat in 1 egg at a time; beat well.

    Add milk and flour (sifted with baking powder) alternately with milk.

    Beat until well mixed.

    Bake in well-greased and floured tube pan at 300° for 1 1/2 hours.

    Ice cake with chocolate icing.
