- 1/2 lb. butter
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 1 lb. can Hershey's chocolate syrup
- 3 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 3 c. plain flour, sifted
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
Directions

1Cream together butter and Crisco.

2Add syrup.

3Mix well.

4Add sugar and mix.

5Add eggs, one at a time, mixing after each egg. Mix together milk, vanilla and baking powder.

6Add this to creamed mixture alternately with flour.

7Pour into greased and floured large tube pan.

8Start in cold oven.

9Do not open door for 1 hour. Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
