- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 c. margarine
- 3 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 3 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. cocoa
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/4 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cream shortening, margarine and sugar.

2Add eggs, one at a time, beating well.

3Mix flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa together.

4Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour.

5Stir in flavoring.

6Pour into a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.

7Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350°.
