Chocolate Pound Cake

- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. unsalted butter or margarine, softened
- 1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
- 1 c. sour cream (at room temperature)
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 sq. (1 oz. each) unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
Directions

1Mix flour and baking soda; set aside.

2In large bowl cream butter until fluffy.

3Add eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each.

4Gradually beat in flour mixture just until blended and smooth.

5Beat in sour cream and vanilla until blended.

6Beat in chocolate until well blended.

7Pour into greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.

8Bake in preheated 325° oven 60 to 70 minutes.

9Cool on rack in pan 10 minutes.

10Carefully remove from pan.

11Cool completely on rack.
