  • 3 c. sugar
  • 3 c. plain flour
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 lb. can Hershey's chocolate syrup
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 5 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder

Directions

    Cream butter, shortening and sugar together.

    Add eggs, one at a time, and add syrup.

    Sift flour and baking powder together.

    Add alternately with milk.

    Start in cold oven at 300° and bake for 1 hour and 40 minutes.
