- 2 sticks butter
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 3 c. sugar
- 1 c. pecans, chopped
- 1/2 c. cocoa
- 1 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 c. flour (all-purpose)
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 5 eggs
Directions

1Cream butter, Crisco and sugar.

2Add eggs, one at a time. Stir dry ingredients together and add alternately with milk to sugar mixture.

3Grease and flour an angel food cake pan.

4Pour batter into cake pan.

5Put the nuts on top of raw batter and press into batter.

6Bake 1/2 hour at 325° and 1 more hour at 300°.
