- 1-1/2 cup Sugar
- 1/4 cups Cocoa Powder
- 1/3 cups Cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 3 cups Milk
- 4 whole Egg Yolks
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- 1 Tablespoon Vanilla, Plus
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
Directions

1Mix sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt in 1 1/2 qt sauce pan.

2Stir in milk gradually.

3Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils. Boil and stir 1 minute.

4Stir at least half of the hot mixture gradually into egg yolks.

5Blend tempered mixture into hot mixture in saucepan. Boil and stir 1 minute.

6Remove from heat; stir in margarine and vanilla.

7Refrigerate at least 2 hours if you want to serve cold.

8Sometimes I make this in the microwave, turns out the same.
