- 1 pkg. Duncan Hines layer chocolate cake
- 2 (3 oz.) chocolate instant pudding, mixed as directed
- 2 (9 oz.) cartons Cool Whip
- 1 small bottle maraschino cherries, drained well
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- Kahlua (can be used instead of cherry juice)
Directions

1Bake cake as directed in 2 layers.

2Mix cherries and nuts. Use trifle bowl and break cake in pieces (1 layer); pour cherry juice over cake.

3Spoon 1/2 pudding over cake, then 1 carton Cool Whip and 1/2 cherry-nut mixture.

4Repeat layer.

5Chill.
