  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. unsifted flour
  • 2 sticks oleo
  • 1 c. water
  • 3 1/2 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk

Directions

    Mix sugar and flour and set aside.

    Place oleo, water and cocoa in saucepan and bring to boil.

    Pour over dry ingredients and stir.
  4. 4
    Add eggs, soda and buttermilk.

    Bake in sheath pan, 11 x 18-inch for 17 to 20 minutes at 400°.

    May use 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch pan.
