  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 stick oleo
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Bring to boil oleo, water, cocoa, shortening and sugar and cocoa.

    Pour over flour and beat well.
  3. 3
    Add eggs, buttermilk cinnamon, soda and vanilla.
  4. 4
    Beat well until smooth.

    Bake in 11 x 16-inch pan for 45 minutes at 350°.
