- 1 3/4 c. boiling water
- 1 c. quick cooking rolled oats
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1 c. light brown sugar
- 1 c. white sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- chocolate chips
Directions

1Combine water and rolled oats; cool.

2Cream butter, brown sugar, sugar and vanilla; beat in eggs.

3Blend in oatmeal mixture. Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Add to creamed mixture.

4Beat one minute at medium speed.

5Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.

6Sprinkle your chosen amount of chocolate chips on top; do not stir.

7Bake for 35 minutes at 350°. Let sit until cool; sprinkle on powdered sugar.
