  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 1 c. water
  • 6 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk

Directions

    Melt and bring to boil butter, Crisco, water and cocoa.

    Mix with sugar and flour.

    Add eggs, baking soda, vanilla, cinnamon and buttermilk.

    Grease and flour 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan and bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.
