Ingredients: 2 c. flour; 2 c. sugar; 1/2 c. margarine (1 stick); 1/2 c. shortening; 1 c. water; 1 tsp. vanilla; 1/4 c. cocoa; 1/2 c. buttermilk; 1 tsp. soda; 1/4 tsp. salt; 2 eggs, slightly beaten; 1 tsp. cinnamon

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. margarine (1 stick)
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. cocoa
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp. cinnamon

Directions

Sift flour and sugar into mixing bowl and blend well.

Bring to a rapid boil in saucepan the margarine, shortening, water and cocoa.

Pour over flour/sugar mixture and mix well.

Combine remaining ingredients and add all at once to batter, mixing well. Pour into lightly greased and floured sheet cake pan.

Bake at 400° for 20 minutes.

Let cool 10 to 15 minutes while preparing frosting.
