  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 sticks oleo
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 c. water or coffee
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Sift the first 4 ingredients together.

    Bring the oleo, cocoa and water or coffee to a boil and pour over flour mixture, mixing well.

    Add remaining ingredients.

    Beat together, mixing well with rest of ingredients.

    Bake at 350° in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
