  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 c. margarine
  • 1 c. hot water
  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Sift together flour, sugar and salt.

    Bring to boil margarine, hot water and cocoa; then add to flour and sugar mixture.

    Add soda, buttermilk, eggs and vanilla.

    Bake on cookie sheet 20 minutes at 350°.
