  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 stick oleo
  • 1 c. water
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1/2 c. Crisco oil
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Sift together the flour and sugar.

    In a large pan, combine cocoa, oleo, water and oil; bring to a boil and pour over sugar and flour.

    Stir well and add 1/2 cup buttermilk

    and eggs, slightly beaten.

    Add cinnamon, soda and vanilla.

    Mix well.

    Pour in greased pan (17 x 11 x 1-inch) and bake 20 minutes at 400°.
