  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 stick oleo or margarine
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk or sour cream

Directions

    Sift flour and sugar together.

    Combine oleo, shortening, cocoa and water in pan.

    Bring to boil, pour this mixture over sugar and flour and stir well.

    Add eggs, buttermilk, soda, cinnamon and vanilla.

    Bake at 350° until done.
