  • 1- 1/2 cup All-purpose Flour
  • 13 cups Cocoa Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/4 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 3/4 teaspoons Salt
  • 1/2 cups Applesauce
  • 13 cups Water
  • 1- 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 13 cups Butter, Melted
  • 1/2 cups Chocolate Chips

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    Spray a 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray that contains flour like Bakers Joy, or grease and flour the pan.

    In a small bowl combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder and salt.

    In the bowl of an electric mixer beat the applesauce, water, sugar and eggs until well combined.

    Add the dry ingredients and mix just until combined.

    Add the melted butter and mix until butter is incorporated.

    Stir in the chocolate chips.

    Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 55-60 minutes.

    A toothpick inserted in the center should come out almost clean.

    DO NOT OVERBAKE!

    Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 15 minutes then turn out onto a cooling rack and allow to cool for about 45 minutes.

    Wrap tightly in plastic wrap or aluminum foil.

    It is best if allowed to sit overnight!
