Chocolate Tree Truffle

Ingredients

  • 1 c. whipping cream
  • 4 Tbsp. unsalted or slightly salted butter
  • 1 lb. cocoa (light, dark or white chocolate wafers)
  • 2 Tbsp. Grand Marnier, B&B brandy or any liqueur of your choice (when using oil flavor, cut flavoring in half)

    Place whipping cream (do not whip) and butter in saucepan over medium heat.

    Bring to a full boil.

    Stir; let mixture boil up again.

    Remove from stove; add full pound of chocolate.

    Stir until completely melted and smooth.

    Let set up overnight in a very cool place or cover mixture and refrigerate after pouring in a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.

    Using a small ice cream scoop or melon baller, make balls.

    Roll in Macadamia nut bits or coconut, etc.
