- 16 oz. semi-sweet chocolate and 2 oz. for 1/2 Tbsp. sugar and 1 tsp.
- 1/2 c. unsalted butter
- 1 c. whipped cream
- 1/2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. hot water
- 4 eggs, separated
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
Directions

1Melt butter and 16 ounces of chocolate in double boiler.

2Add flour, 1/2 tablespoon sugar and water.

3Whip with a wire whisk. Add egg yolks, one at a time, whipping constantly.

4Beat egg whites with 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar until stiff but not dry.

5Fold whites into chocolate.

6Turn into 8-inch spring-form pan.

7Bake at 425° for 15 minutes.

9Cool.

10Whip cream with 1 teaspoon sugar.

11Frost cake and decorate with chocolate curls.
