- 150 pecan halves (about 3 c.)
- 50 caramels
- 8 oz. semi-sweet chocolate
Directions

1Preheat oven to 300°.

2On greased baking sheets, arrange the pecan halves in groups of 3, flat side down, in Y shapes.

3Place a caramel on top of each cluster.

4Place in oven until the caramels soften, about 5 to 8 minutes.

5Remove from oven and flatten the caramels over the pecans with a buttered spoon.

6Cool slightly. Melt the chocolate using a double boiler over simmering water. Dip the turtles into the chocolate and cool on wax paper.

7Store in tightly covered containers in a cool place.
