- 1 cup chickpeas
- 1 green chili, slit
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 12 cups water
- 1 medium onion
- 5 cloves garlic
- 3 cm ginger
- 3 tablespoons water
- 3 tablespoons oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin seed
- 2 teaspoons coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 2 teaspoons cumin powder
- 3 large tomatoes, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
Directions

1soak gram overnight and pressure cook with rest of ingredients till done.

2grind the paste with water.

3heat oil in a wok add cumin seeds.

4when they splutter add the ground paste and stir constantly till brown.

5add coriander,chilli and cumin powder.

6add tomatoes and fry until oil seperates.

7add cooked gram and garam masala.

8simmer for 5-10 minute.

9garnish with lemon slices.
