Ingredients

  • 2 lb. beef, cut up
  • 1/2 lb. pork, cut up
  • 1/2 lb. veal, cut up (optional)
  • flour, salt and pepper
  • 1 large stalk celery, cut up
  • Chinese noodles or rice
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. molasses
  • 1 can bean sprouts
  • 2 cans mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 large onion, cut up

Directions

    Dredge the cut up meats in the flour, salt and pepper.

    Brown well in a small amount of oil in a heavy skillet.

    When meat is browned, add the molasses.

    Cover and cook until tender.

    Add the vegetables and continue to simmer until all are done.

    Stir quite often so it doesn't stick.

    Serve over Chinese noodles or rice.
