  • 1/2 lb. veal or beef
  • 1/2 lb. pork
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 c. celery, chopped
  • 1 c. onions, chopped
  • green pepper (optional)
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. Bead molasses (Chinese browning)
  • 1 can Chinese mixed vegetables, rinsed 3 or 4 times
  • 1 c. mushrooms
  • cornstarch

Directions

    Cut meat in cubes; brown and add salt and pepper.

    Add celery, onions and green pepper.

    Cook until transparent; add water and molasses.

    Add mixed vegetables.

    When almost done, add mushrooms. Thicken with cornstarch.

    Serve on rice.

    Serves 4. Can be frozen. Cook rice when used.
