  • 1/2 lb. veal, cubed
  • 1/2 lb. beef, cubed
  • 5 strips bacon, diced
  • 3 large onions, cubed
  • 3 green peppers, cubed
  • 4 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • salt
  • 1 can chop suey vegetables (large)
  • 1 Tbsp. molasses
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire
  • 1 can mushrooms

Directions

    Fry meat and bacon; add onions and green pepper.

    Fry until brown (lightly).

    Add celery, tomatoes, salt to taste and enough water to cover.

    Let simmer until meat is almost done.

    Add suey vegetables, molasses, Worcestershire sauce and mushrooms, cut fine.

    Cook 1 hour; thicken slightly (cornstarch and water).
