  • 2 pecks chopped green tomatoes
  • 8 chopped bell peppers (include 1 or 2 red peppers, if available)
  • salt
  • 2 qt. vinegar
  • 4 Tbsp. dry mustard
  • 4 Tbsp. celery seed
  • 2 Tbsp. turmeric
  • 1 qt. chopped onion
  • 7 c. sugar

    salty, rinse with water. Mix vinegar, dry mustard, celery seed, turmeric, onion and sugar together.

    a slow boil. Simmer over very low heat for about 20 minutes.
