Ingredients
- 1 doz. medium size onions
- 1 doz. sweet peppers
- 1 doz. red peppers
- 4 qt. chopped cabbage
- 4 qt. chopped green tomatoes
- 1/4 c. salt
- 5 c. sugar
- 4 Tbsp. ground mustard
- 4 Tbsp. mustard seed
- 1 tsp. ground turmeric
- 1 tsp. ground ginger
- 3 Tbsp. celery seed
- 2 1/2 c. vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. whole mixed spice, tied in a bag
Directions

1Chop onions and peppers fine.

2Combine with cabbage and tomatoes; mix with salt.

3Let stand overnight.

4Drain well. Combine sugar, spices and vinegar.

5Bring to a boiling point and simmer 20 minutes.

6Add vegetables and simmer to consistency desired.

7Remove spice bag.

8Pack in hot jars and seal.
