Ingredients
- 1/2 gal. chopped cabbage
- 8 green sweet peppers
- 8 red sweet peppers
- 1 qt. green tomatoes
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. salt
- 2 to 3 qt. vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. ground mustard
- 1 Tbsp. turmeric
- 1 Tbsp. ground ginger
- 1 Tbsp. mustard seed
- 2 Tbsp. mixed whole spices
Directions

1Chop all vegetables.

2Soak overnight in 1/4 cup of salt.

3Be sure water covers the vegetables.

4In the morning, drain all the salt water off of the vegetables.

5Place all spices in a cheesecloth bag.

6Boil for 10 minutes in the vinegar (use a large pot).

7Remove spice bag from vinegar.

8Add sugar and mix well.

9Add all vegetables.
-
10Stir in well.

11Bring to a boil, then turn stove off.
