  • 4 qt. green tomatoes
  • 1 large cabbage
  • 4 Tbsp. salt
  • 6 to 7 green peppers
  • 9 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. celery seed
  • 1 qt. vinegar
  • 1 tsp. mustard or 1 Tbsp. pickling spice

    Chop first 4 ingredients.

    Leave 1 hour.

    Drain.

    Put vegetables on stove and add other ingredients.

    Bring to a boil. Pack in jars and seal.
