  • 1 qt. cabbage
  • 1 pt. onion
  • 2 hot peppers
  • 2 pt. sweet peppers
  • 12 green tomatoes
  • 6 cucumbers
  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 c. vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp. mustard seed
  • 1 tsp. turmeric
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 3 bay leaves, crushed

    Wash and prepare vegetables to be chopped in food processor or by hand.

    Place in large pan.

    Add salt and let stand 24 hours. Drain mixture, getting out all of the brine.

    Add chopped cabbage to other vegetables.

    In large pan, mix sugar, vinegar and spices.

    Heat.

    Add vegetables.

    Boil for 3 minutes.

    Pack in hot jars and seal.
