  • 2 gal. chopped cabbage
  • 1 gal. green tomatoes, chopped
  • red bell pepper
  • 1 or 2 green bell peppers
  • 1 qt. chopped onion (3 large)
  • 7 cucumbers, cubed
  • salt
  • 1 oz. pickling spice

Directions

    Put layer of cabbage, layer of tomatoes, layer of cucumbers and layer of salt.

    Keep layering with cabbage on top layer.

    Let stand overnight in large crock.
