Peach Puff Pie

Name: Peach Puff Pie
Ingredients: 1/3 c. butter or margarine; 1 c. sugar; 2 eggs, beaten; 1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind; 1 c. flour; 1 tsp. baking powder; 1/4 tsp. salt; 2 Tbsp. milk; 1 uncooked pie crust; 2 c. sliced, peeled peaches

1/3 c. butter or margarine
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. milk
1 uncooked pie crust
2 c. sliced, peeled peaches

Directions

Cream butter with half the sugar.

Add beaten eggs gradually and lemon rind.

Add flour, salt and baking powder alternately with milk.

Line a pie plate with pastry.

Put peaches into it with remaining sugar, then spread batter over all and bake at 375° for 20 minutes; then 350° for 20 minutes.

Canned peaches can be used.
