Ingredients

  • approximately 1 gal. raw, chopped cabbage
  • approximately 1 qt. raw, chopped onions
  • approximately 1 qt. raw, chopped green peppers
  • approximately 1 qt. raw, chopped green tomatoes
  • 1 gal. vinegar
  • 10 c. sugar

Directions

    Put in large container (ice chest).

    Pour water over top of vegetables.
  3. 3
    Put in 10 level tablespoons pickling salt and let set for 2 hours.

    Squeeze out water.
  5. 5
    Put vegetables in pot with vinegar and salt.
  6. 6
    Bring to a boil and put in jars with lids.
  7. 7
    The jars will seal themselves.
