  • 1 qt. chopped cabbage
  • 2 c. chopped green tomatoes
  • 3 chopped onions
  • 1 1/2 chopped green peppers
  • 1 1/2 chopped red bell peppers
  • 1 qt. vinegar
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. ground mustard
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. white mustard seed
  • 3/4 Tbsp. celery seed
  • 1/4 Tbsp. cloves (tied in a bag)

Directions

    In a separate vessel put vinegar, sugar, mustard, mustard seed, celery seed and cloves.

    Heat to boiling; add well-drained vegetables.

    Cook slowly until tender (about 1/2 hour).

    Put into sterile jars.

    Process 10 minutes at simmering temperature.
