- 4 c. green tomatoes
- 4 c. chopped cabbage
- 4 c. onions
- 1/4 c. salt
- 6 c. sugar
- 4 c. cider vinegar
- 2 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. pickling spices
Directions

1Cut up vegetables.

2Sprinkle with salt.

3Cover and let stand overnight in refrigerator.

4Next day, rinse vegetables well. Combine vinegar, water, sugar and spices in pot and let these come to a boil, then add chopped vegetables.

5Let boil and simmer 30 minutes.

6Seal in clean jars.

7Makes 8 pints.
