Christine'S Bread Pudding

Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 qt. milk (1 can evaporated milk plus regular to equal 1 qt.)
  • 1 c. sugar (may use brown or white or half and half)
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • raisins (optional)
  • cinnamon
  • 4 to 5 slices bread

Directions

    Mix ingredients (except cinnamon and raisins) in blender until well blended.

    Butter or margarine 4 to 5 slices of bread.

    Break or cut into small pieces.

    Put bread and milk mixture and raisins, if desired, into bowl.

    Sprinkle cinnamon on top.

    Bake in pan of water for about 1 hour at 400° until knife inserted comes out clean.
