- 1 c. Crisco
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 large cake of yeast
- 2 eggs, beaten with wire whip
- 1 (5 oz.) can evaporated milk
- 1/2 Tbsp. vanilla
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 3 c. flour
Directions

1Beat eggs.

2Add vanilla, yeast and milk.

3Mix all liquids and shortening with fingers.

4Mix dry ingredients with 3 cups of flour.

5Mix with liquids until dough no longer sticks to fingers. (You may need to add more flour.) Refrigerate dough 5 to 6 hours or overnight.

6Put damp cloth on top of bowl while refrigerating. Roll out individual cookies and fill with nuts or apricots.

7Bake at 350° for 15 minutes.
