  • 3 (1 lb.) cans (6 c.) baked beans in pork and molasses sauce
  • 1 (8 oz.) can seasoned tomato sauce
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. catsup
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. prepared mustard
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 4 drops Tabasco sauce
  • 6 slices Canadian-style bacon

    In a 2-quart casserole or bean pot, combine beans, tomato sauce, onion, catsup, brown sugar and seasonings. Bury bacon in beans. Bake, uncovered, in slow oven (300°) 3 1/2 to 4 hours. Toward end of cooking time, fork bacon to top. Center with drained, cooked or canned onions. Makes 6 servings.
