Ingredients

  • 2 lb. beef roast, cut in cubes
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 tomatoes, peeled and quartered
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes
  • 6 small potatoes, peeled and quartered
  • 6 carrots, cut in pieces
  • 6 small onions
  • 3 to 4 stalks celery, cut in pieces
  • 1 c. frozen peas
  • 4 c. water

    Brown meat and onions.

    Add all remaining ingredients (except peas).

    Cook and simmer 2 to 3 hours.

    Add peas the last 30 minutes.
