  • 2 1/2 lb. stew beef
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 Tbsp. paprika
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 3 Tbsp. Crisco
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 28 oz. can tomatoes
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp. peppers, crushed
  • 2 c. potatoes, chopped
  • 2 c. carrots, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced

Directions

    Coat beef in first 4 ingredients, brown.

    Add onion and garlic, cook until soft.

    Add rest of ingredients.

    Cover and simmer 2 hours.

    Add potatoes and carrots, cook another 45 minutes.
