- 1 cup chickpeas, cooked
- 3 tbsp olive oil, extra virgin
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 1/2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, packed
- 1 garlic, minced
Directions

1In a high power blender add below ingredients.

2Blend ingredients well together until smooth in texture.

3Transfer cilantro hummus into bowl and sprinkle on a little cayenne pepper.

4Refrigerate for 20 minutes to allow flavors and hummus to congeal.

5Serve your hummus with your favorite tortilla or pita chips; or as I did, on some toasted French bread!
