Ingredients

  • 2 lb. hamburger (don't brown first)
  • 2 chopped onions
  • 1 qt. water
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato paste
  • 1/2 tsp. allspice
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 4 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • 1/2 tsp. red pepper
  • 1/2 oz. unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 4 drops Tabasco sauce

    Combine first 3 ingredients; simmer for 30 minutes and then add remainder of ingredients.

    Simmer, uncovered, for 2 to 3 hours until thickened.

    Refrigerate overnight.
