- 1-1/2 c. Flour
- 2 tsp. Baking Powder
- 3/4 c. Salt
- 3 Tbsp. Shortening
- 3/4 c. Milk
Directions

1Measure Flour, Baking Powder and Salt into a bowl.

2Cut in Shortening thoroughly, until mixture looks like meal.

3Stir in Milk.

4Drop dough by spoonfuls onto hot meat or vegetables in boiling stew.

5(Do not drop directly into liquid.)

6Cooked uncovered 10 minutes.

7Cover and cook about 10 minutes longer or until dumplings are fluffy.

8Makes 8 - 10 dumplings.
