  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder baking
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 23 cup butter or margarine, melted, divided
  • 1/2 cup water boiling
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 113 cups flour, all-purpose
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 6 ounces chocolate (semi-sweet) semi-sweet chips
  • 1 cup nuts chopped, optional
  • 6 tablespoons butter or margarine, soften
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder baking
  • 223 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon ground
  • 13 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

    In a mixing bowl, combine cocoa and baking soda; blend in 13 cup melted butter.

    Add boiling water, stirring until thickened.

    Stir in sugar, eggs, vanilla and remaining butter.

    Add flour, cinnamon and salt.

    Fold in chocolate chips and nuts if using.

    Pour into a greased 13 inch x 9 inch x 2 inch baking pan.

    Bake at 350F (180C) for 40 minutes or until brownies test done.

    For frosting, cream butter in a mixing bowl.

    Combine cocoa, sugar and cinnamon; add alternately with the milk.

    Beat to a spreading consistency; add vanilla.
