Ingredients

  • 3 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. white Karo
  • 1 c. water
  • food color (your choice)
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon oil
  • powdered sugar

Directions

    Have powdered sugar sifted out on a large spot on kitchen counter.

    Mix sugar, Karo and water in a large pan.

    Cook until hard-crack (300°) on candy thermometer.

    Turn heat off immediately. Add food coloring.

    Add cinnamon oil.

    Pour candy over powdered sugar immediately.

    (Will not melt counter.)

    When candy cools, break into pieces.
